"If you're doing something outside of dominant culture, there's not an easy place for you. You will have to do it yourself."

AVA DUVERNAY

Documentary is often understood as being "real". For me, documentary is a form of media that has always enabled speaking truth to power. It's rich history of being used for protest and its claim of subjectivity has been useful in understanding many critical sociological, historical, and contemporary issues. My interest in documentary was not natural but once I got the hang of it, the prospect of being able to create a narrative of truth enticed me.

With so much focus on the visual, radio has taken a new place in our lives. Audio productions, better known as podcasts these days, are essential in creating a connection with the listener through several sensory clues. The placement of sound, the words, the building of narrative through the audio medium is fascinating.

Producing documentaries and radio shows during my bachelors and masters gave me a chance to become skilled at Sound Cut Pro, Final Cut Pro X, and other audio and video editing softwares.

Below are some examples of production work I have done.

Mere Angne Mein

Mere Angne Mein or In My Courtyard is a series of five episodes which talk about issues of consent, defining feminism, and busting some unsavory but prevalent myths about feminism.
